FAQ

Can't detect audio?

Audio detection is more hidden than video. Try these methods:

  1. Ensure audio is playing (not paused)
  2. Refresh page and replay
  3. Check if ad blocker interference exists
  4. Use Developer Tools Network panel to find audio URL
For complete principles of audio detection and troubleshooting methods, see Audio Capture and Common Issues Troubleshooting — Media Detection Issues.

Downloaded audio duration incorrect?

Possible causes:

  • Some platforms transmit long audio in segments; you may have detected only one segment
  • Refresh page and play from beginning to ensure complete audio stream detected
  • Check if there are multiple audio entries; select the one with largest file size

Can I download from Spotify?

Spotify web version uses DRM-encrypted audio streams; FlowPick cannot decrypt. Recommendations:

  • Use official client's offline download feature (Premium users)
  • For public podcast content, try finding same program on other platforms
For DRM protection technical limitations, see Known Limitations — DRM Protected Content.

Noise in downloaded audio?

Possible causes:

  • Network fluctuation during download caused data corruption
  • Re-downloading usually resolves issue
  • If problem persists, try reducing concurrent thread count
For troubleshooting corrupted files after download, see Common Issues Troubleshooting — File Won't Play After Download.

Metadata Management

Downloaded audio files typically don't contain complete metadata (title, author, cover). Recommendations:

  • Use Mp3tag (Windows) or MusicBrainz Picard to edit metadata
  • Retain key info in filename
  • Use podcast management apps (like Pocket Casts' file import feature)
